The Tethered Spectral Radiometer Buoy (TSRB) is an optical instrument designed to make continuous measurements of downwelling irradiance just above the sea surface, upwelling radiance just below the sea surface, and sea surface temperature at the sea surface.

The TSRB instrument used in this study (S/N 008) measures downwelling irradiance at 489 nm and upwelling radiance at:

410, 444, 489, 511, 553, 668, and 684 nm.

All of these wavebands except the 684 nm waveband have bandpasses of approximately 20 nm.  The 684 nm waveband has a bandpass of 10 nm.  The sampling frequency is 1 Hz.
