Figure 1: Drifter track (blue symbols) overlaid on the bathymetry.  The start (red symbol) and end (yellow symbol) of the track is indicated.  Land is shown in dark green.  The bathymetry data are ETOPO5 5x5 minute Navy bathymetry data (in meters).

Figure 2: Downwelling irradiance at 490 nm (Ed490), upwelling radiances at 412, 443, 490, 510, 555, 670, and 683 nm (Lu412, Lu443, Lu510, Lu555, Lu670, and Lu683, respectively), and sea surface temperature (SST) as a function of time.  The irradiance is in units of uW cm-2 nm-1, radiances are in units of  uW cm-2 nm-1 sr-1, and SST is in units of degrees Celsius.

Figure 3: Chlorophyll concentration (mg m-3) and fluorescence line height (FLH) (uW cm-2 nm-1 sr-1) as a function of day of year (2000) in GMT.  These two parameters were calculated from the upwelling radiances as described on the processing page.
